To keep your genuine leather Phelan shoes in the best condition, we advise the following:

PLAIN LEATHERS: Clean with a soft, dry cloth. Store away from heat and light. Avoid any contact with abrasive surfaces. Use clear/neutral shoe polish.

METALLIC LEATHERS: Use a soft, damp cloth. Avoid any contact with abrasive surfaces.

WARNING: DO NOT USE ANY CHEMICALS AND SOLVENTS TO CLEAN YOUR SHOES

We guarantee the originality of this product, carefully packaged with craftsmanship. Any little imperfection, slight nuance, vein, speckling, is not be considered as defect, but quality of a genuine product such as real leather.

PU SOLES: PU, short for polyurethane, is a durable, foam-like plastic material commonly used for shoe soles. It is lightweight, flexible, and offers excellent slip resistance, making it a preferred choice for premium comfort footwear brands.

While PU is highly resilient, it is susceptible to hydrolysis, a chemical breakdown process that can occur if the material is stored unused for long periods. This is especially common in humid environments, such as coastal areas.

Regular use of PU-soled shoes prevents hydrolysis. Walking helps expel moisture at a molecular level, maintaining the integrity of the sole. Shoes with PU soles should be worn consistently throughout the year rather than being left unworn in storage. With proper use, PU soles provide exceptional performance and durability, typically lasting 4 to 5 years.
